Montag didn’t really chose the book of Ecclesiastes, because he read this without knowing that he would be the one to remember what he read. The only reason that this is significant is because later on he will basically be rewriting the whole book from memory. He will be helped by Granger to remember from memory the whole book of Ecclesiastes.
One example from my life is how I changed. I made changes in my life for the greater good. I used to sit around at home just watching tv, but now I changed that. I play guitar whenever I have the chance to. That really changed my life. I now have an audition for a scholarship in music at snow college.
Another example from my life is how I helped people with anything basically. I will help a lot of people out in any way I can. The reason for this is because I’m a patient person and very nice. I’m calm and can talk things through. I think that if we all changed and became better than we already are, than the world would be a better place.
Guy Montag changed his ways by telling himself he doesn’t want to burn books anymore. Which I think is good. Montag liked burning books at first but now he doesn’t. if he can change the way he thinks then I’m sure that we all could change also. He turned on his own friend and burnt him and two others inside the burning house. Shows how much change can happen in so little time.

Censorship in Schools
I believe that the school censorship is all a big misunderstanding, because people should be able to read what they want to read anytime they want. If someone can’t read what someone actually wrote in his own words, then you don’t get the real concept of what the author is actually trying to say. If you can’t get the concept about the book then what is the point of reading?
I think that censorship in my opinion is kind of lame. In a school, some people prefer not reading a book with swearing or something like that and that is understandable. But there are different books that you can read. Some people like the fact that the author can get his actual story out without editing the story. Me personally, I like the fact that the author can get his whole story out without editing it.
I really don’t like to read that much, but when I choose my own book it’s a good one. Like for instance I read a book a while ago called “Paint by Magic”. I really liked it a lot considering I don’t like to read very often and that the author could say what he wanted.

Reputation
“A good reputation is the most valuable thing we have. If you steal my reputation, you’re robbing me of something that doesn’t make you richer, but makes me much poorer.” – Iago, page 143
What I get from this quote is that, even though you have lost your reputation you get hurt money wise. Also, if someone else takes your reputation away then how do you get it back? Well, first of all you can’t take back what you had already lost. If, lets say, you get revenge on someone and it doesn’t work out quite the way you like it to, then you get caught up for it and you can’t do anything about it. I think that if someone screws up your reputation and you are hurt by it, then there isn’t much you can do besides take it like a man and stop complaining about it. Lets say you have a job and your co-worker saw you stealing something, he tells his boss, you get in trouble, and then people think that your not a hard worker, your just a thief. (reputation down!) If things were the other way around and you saw him stealing something, you tell your boss, he gets in trouble, then you are seen as an open and honest person. (reputation up!) If you believe in being an open and honest person that cares about something, then don’t change who you are, strive to become a better person, and don’t give up on your hopes and dreams.
